The intervention department reinforces classroom instruction with small group support in either a push-in or pull-out structure.  This environment allows more individualized and targeted instruction to fill gaps and move each student forward toward grade-level goals.  Literacy is supported in a student’s first language; math is supported in the language of the week.  The intervention team uses diagnostic data to create student goals and an explicit action plan.  Frequent collaboration with classroom teachers results in high impact intervention and support.
