PTA - Parent Teacher Association

The Harris PTA is an organization whose purpose is to support, enhance, and encourage both the dual language immersion educational approach and social environment of Harris Elementary.  We do this through promotion and support of cross-cultural opportunities to learn, develop and strengthen community, improve communication, and fundraising.

Letter from the President

Hello parents,

Thank you for your patience with PTA as we continue to work on organizing and restructuring PTA. The past two years created many challenges for PTA (along with the rest of the world) and we continue to work on being flexible and adaptable. Our apologies for not following through with some of our committees and our lack of transparency. We would like to encourage every family/parent to respond to the survey that was sent out in Thursday folders (or on Harris Website PTA link). We will continue to work on our transparency and inclusivity. Please refer to the committee list and reach out to any of the PTA officers if you are interested in signing up. PTA is also currently in need of a secretary. Please notify a PTA officer if you are interested or have any questions.

Earn money for our school by using your King Soopers Loyalty card to shop for Groceries! It is very easy to set one up. Login to your King Soopers account online (which you already have if you have a rewards card or if you buy groceries online, you just may need to set up a login).

Once logged into your King Soopers or City Market account, you will see "Community Rewards" listed on the left side of your screen under "My Account." After clicking on that link, you can search for Harris Bilingual Elementary PTA either by name or our code, which is GA232 and then click Enroll. That is it! After you have done that, every time you shop and use your rewards card, King Soopers will donate up to 5% of your purchase price back to Harris. If you have questions, please contact either Mason Wiebe at mason.wiebe@gmail.com or Brenna Brooks-Larson at bbrookslarson@psdschools.org.

And just another reminder, we also have reloadable Safeway gift cards for sale in the office that work just like the old King Soopers system.
